Natural ramin wood with visible grain

Our process
We combine traditional woodworking with modern techniques to create each custom frame to order.
Sanding, cutting & pinning
Each piece of wood is sanded smooth, then hand-cut on our traditional foot-operated guillotine for precise 45-degree angles. The sides are joined with our Italian Alfa underpinner to create sharp, flush corners.
Painting
The frame is treated through three stages of painting and finishing, enhancing both its presentation and durability.
Mounting
We mount each artwork using acid-free materials and fully reversible techniques, ensuring perfect centring and optimal preservation.
Glazing & sealing
The finished frame is protected under your chosen acrylic glazing option – a glass-like, durable layer that safeguards the artwork while preserving its clarity.
Our ramin wood frames are carefully sanded for a smooth, even finish.
Each frame is lovingly hand-cut to order on our precision underpinner.
Mounting and glazing provides a flawless finish.
Presentation & mounting
Favoured by museums and galleries, each artwork is presented float-mounted in its frame – a refined style that gives the piece room to breathe.
By elevating the print slightly above its backing board, float mounting casts a soft shadow. It leaves the edges fully visible, showcasing the artist’s signature, edition number and any unique edge details. Discreet spacers keep the artwork separated from the glazing.
